Venetian Sun
Throughout my trip to Venice, the sun was particularly bright and strong during the day. I used the early morning sunrises as an opportunity to play with the weaker light, and Ventian Sun is one of the results.
Against a backdrop of gondolas lining the waterfront of St Mark's Square, I worked with a festival performer dressed in a golden costume and had them positioned off centre from the rising sun. As the sunlight breaks across their shoulder, the light permeates the foreground of the scene and creates a golden hue that blends with the fabric of their clothing.
Venetian Sun's pale gold palette makes it an excellent choice for neutral interiors. Printed on gloss paper with a highly reflective acrylic panel, the gold pigmentation is enhanced and adapts under changing light conditions.
