Miami Life
Miami Life brings together some of the best bits of Miami into a single photograph. The Miami Life fine art photography print, was taken in Lummus Park, South Beach Miami, and looks back toward The Tides Hotel on Ocean Drive. The weather was spectular during my stay in Miami and I was treated to some amazing sunsets, and this one was no different. With the sun setting behind Ocean Drive, the dusk light was an incredible mix of orange and magneta, and as the artificial lights of The Tides Hotel illuminated, they matched the sky behind perfectly.
The paths that run the length of Lummus Park are poplular with walkers and cyclists alike, so I knew that capturing a cyclist would make for a perfect foreground element that would lead the viewers eyes into the centre of the image. I stood to the side of the path so I was out of the way, and waited, I did not have to wait long of course, these paths are always busy, as the two cyclists passed I waited for the perfect moment to capture this photograph, and I am delighted with the results.
