Lake District Divide
While the Lake District is best known for its spectacular water and mountainous peaks, it is also home to many rural farmers and working farmland, and I wanted to capture this within my Lake District landscape photography.
The constant undulating terrain provides many different perspectives and viewpoints of the landscape, and here I was able to shoot across a valley of farmland.
The various hillocks provide lots of light and shade and give a unique colour grading of the grassy fields, separated by grey stone walls that snake their way around the peaks and troughs. Grazing animals pepper the hillsides alongside scattered rock formations and hardy trees, while the farmhouse is quietly tucked into the fields.
