Aira Force Waterfall

from £30.00

Of all the waterfalls located throughout the region of the Lake District, Aira Force is perhaps the most impressive. The 20 foot drop has water cascading down rock moss covered rocks with a quaint, brickwork bridge that runs across the top. A small walkway and platform from the bottom allows visitors to watch the descent of the river and into the next level beneath.

It was here that I would take this photograph; Aira Force Waterfall. Backing up as much as I could with a wide angle lens attached to the camera, I wanted to capture Aira Force in it’s entirety, and placing the camera on the tripod allowed me to slow the shutter speed down just enough to smooth out the flow of the water.
